Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
