Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it, 27 high above? 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 and the earth which He spread out, 30 He extracted from it its water and its pasture, 31 And the mountains! He established them firm: 32 A provision for you and for your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 Those who have rebelled 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Verily the Scorch! that shall be his resort. 39 But he who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained his self from vain desires, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 What concern do you have regarding its explanation? (You are not bound to tell them) 43 The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord. 44 Thou art but [sent] to warn those who stand in awe of it. 45 On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it. 46
