Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
