The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
