Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
