He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 you attend to him, 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 And hath fear, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 Of what thing hath He created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 AND SO, when the piercing call [of resurrection] is heard 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
