Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting chargers, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
