And We sent Noah to his people; and he said, 'O my people, serve God! You have no god other' than He; truly, I fear for you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 59 Said the eminent among his people, "Indeed, we see you in clear error." 60 He said: O my people! there is no error in me, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you; and I know from Allah what you do not know. 62 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 63 But they belied him, so We saved him and those along with him in the ship, and We drowned those who belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). They were indeed a blind people. 64
