Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember You much: 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
