The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 to their promise, 9 These are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
