Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
