Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
