Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 watching over you 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
