The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
