Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the close of night, 17 and brightening morning, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
