Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
