And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate. 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west - how wretched a companion." 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? 40 And whether [or not] We take you away [in death], indeed, We will take retribution upon them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 Hold thou fast wherefore to that which is revealed unto thee: verily thou art on the straight path. 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And ask thou Our apostles whom We sent before thee: appointed We gods, beside the Compassionate, to be worshipped? 45
