Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
