Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the trumpet will be blown: this is the Day of the Threatening. 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 You were heedless of this. Now We have removed your veil and so your vision today is sharp. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 Cast ye twain into Hell every person rebellious, contumacious. 24 Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter, 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand: 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
