Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
