Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars darken, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
