Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Surely I have rewarded them this day because they were patient, that they are the achievers. 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
