Nay, by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
