(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
