This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
