▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] 46 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 57 [There will be] maidens as fair as corals and rubies. 58 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And beside them are two other gardens, 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 65 Therein are two gushing fountains of water. 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Pure ones confined to the pavilions. 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
