The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
