Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
