S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 In fact, the unbelievers are the ones who are boastful and quarrelsome. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 And they were surprised that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves; and the disbelievers said, “He is a magician, a great liar!” 4 What! makes he the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure! 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We never heard of it in the former faith. It is surely a fabrication. 7 Hath the reminder been unto him (alone) among us? Nay, but they are in doubt concerning My reminder; nay but they have not yet tasted My doom. 8 Or do they have the depositories of the mercy of your Lord, the Exalted in Might, the Bestower? 9 Or is theirs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend through [any] ways of access. 10 A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there. 11 To the truth gave the lie aforetime Noah's people, and [the tribe of] Ad, and Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles, 12 and Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the men of the Thicket - those were the parties; 13 There was not one but belied the apostles, wherefore justified was My wrath. 14
