The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 but they gave the lie to Our Signs, to all of them. Thereupon We seized them with the seizing of the Most Mighty, the Most Powerful. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Do they say, "We shall be victorious because we are united?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 on the Day when they are dragged into the fire on their faces, it will be said to them, "Now feel the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
