The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
