Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
