(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
