Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they gave the lie to Our Signs, to all of them. Thereupon We seized them with the seizing of the Most Mighty, the Most Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 At the still centre in the proximity of the King all-powerful. 55
