The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
