Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; the Almighty, the Forgiving' 66 Say, "It is great news 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
