Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
