Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 labouring, weary, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In the high empyrean, 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 raised couches, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 and arranged cushions 15 and carpets spread out. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
