Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters; 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
