Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Almighty God's Truth.
