Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter. 7 Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring. 8
