Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
