Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
