The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
