54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 They say: “Our hearts are securely wrapped up against what you call us to, and in our ears is a heaviness, and between you and us there is a veil. So act; we too are acting.” 5 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters, 6 who pay not the alms, and disbelieve in the world to come. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
