The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He has created man: 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
