Nay! By the moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning for people -- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
