Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
