Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we exalt You 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
