Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 A guidance and a mercy for the good, 3 who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- 8 They will abide in them for ever. The promise of God is true; and He is all-mighty and all-wise. 9 He [it is who] has created the skies without any supports that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We send down water from the skies, and thus We cause every noble kind [of life] to grow on earth. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. 11
